Which translation tools does a translator use?

In most of our projects, all translators use a translation tool. We mainly work with SDL products (WorldServer, Trados Studio and Passolo) and Memsource, but we can also use other tools, such as Across and Catalyst if desired.

Translation memories

Every sentence that all our translators produce is stored in a database with its source text sentence. This is called a translation memory. Our translation service matches each new sentence against previously stored translations to ensure that the language in your texts is consistent.

The translation memories are customer-specific and are subject to the same security procedures as all other materials.

Term databases

For additional quality assurance, our translators use term databases. Term databases make it easier to produce consistent translations, lead to fewer questions from our translators and mean we can translate texts more quickly and produce higher quality.
